| Christina
was introduced to Brass Band playing at the age of 13 years through the
Salvation Army. She gave up playing for about 10 years but came back to
it after staying with a brother and his family, who play in a concert band
in Herne Bay. She played French Horn for 3 years, but missed playing the
Tenor Horn so joined a local Brass Band for a couple of years, and is now
with Canterbury Brass. She is a qualified seamstress and for the last 22
years has been working in the Examinations Office at Canterbury College.
